What started as a study on Mediterranean jewelry, later became an amazing assembly of tradition references for Bijoux Bizarres
. Panos & Roula, the creative team behind this Greek brand, has drawn inspiration from historic attributes from the past, like mythology elements and ancient patterns, while using current shapes and reinterpretations to design new and unique pieces. The designs emanate beauty and contemporary simplicity in powerful designs.
In the '90s, the first designs of Bijoux Bizarres were made with the "repoussé on pitch" technique that consists on shaping metal to create a design in low relief. Later on, in 2010, the creative duo took a step further and developed the ‘modular jewelry’ concept, that starts with jewelry patterns and evolves to modules of ‘condensed’ design that become elements in more complex pieces.
Bijoux Bizarres designs are crafted by talented silversmiths with traditional jewelry materials as the base element. While mostly using recycled sterling silver as the main component, Roula & Panos bring their contemporary approach by adding atypical materials and techniques, from embroidery work to digital engravings.
The result of this combination between tradition and new design concepts has been a wide spectrum of innovative pieces. Singular and elegant, they fit stylish women of all ages that are not afraid to make a statement.
