The wide circular grotto with an impressive sinkhole covers a small secluded beach, accessible by two entrances that form a triple arch.
Although the Benagil caves are relatively close to the main beach, swimming to get there through the rocky sea coast may be a dangerous task. The best way to do it is by boat or kayak. Tours and rent services are available in several beaches around the area so that anyone can visit this amazing natural wonder.
