Hosted by the unique and always eccentric rapper, Nicki Minaj, the MTV Europe Music Awards 2014 took the night in Glasgow, Scotland, on last November 9th. Distinguished guests from the world of music and entertainment made their stunning appearances on the red carpet.
Kiesza and Ariana Grande had a conspicuous presence, but the beautifully pregnant Alicia Keys, who sang and played on a white piano wearing a long, shimmery silver dress and an impressive mohican hairstyle, stood out from the crowd, along with her beautiful voice and talent.
Magical moments happened when iconic musician Slash and U2 made their own performances. Sexy Enrique Iglesias was also a true revelation on stage, but surely the night belonged to Nicky Minaj. Shiny and vibrant, she filled the stage with her presence and curves. The rapper went through a lot of costume changes, with some beautiful dresses along the show.
Suspended from the ceiling, she made an entrance wearing a statement look by Peter Hidalgo that consisted of two pieces: a ruffled chiffon skirt and a strass covered bustier, combined with a contrasting pair of army boots. Among the multiple looks she wore throughout the show, two tight dresses caused some commotion. A white mini dress with a green collar by Alexander Wang made her ready for golf and a shiny black gown with rhinestones celebrated her curves. But the most glamourous style for the night consisted on a pleated red mini dress combined with red high heeled sandals and a huge red heart bracelet.
Later on, she received the award for Best Hip Hop wearing a Roberto Cavalli white mini dress. Her outfit show closet was completed with a Saint Laurent sparkle animal print mini dress. Definitely a very elegant and chic look to close the night.
Minaj wasn't just an hostess for the night. She performed a mash up that included her recent hit "Anaconda", her classic "Super Bass" and her new track "Bed of Lies", while wearing a see thru black cat suit. Surely, a glamourous night for pop music.
