In what seems to be a new golden age of television, the Emmy Awards gain a new spirit and this year's edition was definitely a night to remember. The event reunited renowned TV celebrities and famed movie stars that are now shining through the small screen.
Red was king among the several couture gowns that were seen at the arrivals. Minnie Driver went for a stunning scarlet Marchesa gown with a plunging neck line and Octavia Spencer looked amazing in a Tadashi Shoji drapped dress.
Sofía Vergara stole the spotlight in a Roberto Cavalli strapless white dress with silver details, but Laverne Cox, the first transgender nominee in the history of the Emmy Awards, really caught everyone's eye on the red carpet in a white Marc Bouwer gown. According to Laverne, the designer created the dress just by draping it directly on her body and the result was an impressive "Greek goddess like" ensemble.
Take a look at some of the looks that made the runway.
