Love it or hate it? Comment this post here. This Summer is definitely graphic. From classic geometric shapes to the most abstract motifs, prints made the runway for this season's collections. In all colors and textures, the rule is to try and experiment with fun, bold, strong graphics.
Forget about romantic blooms. Go for stylized contemporary florals that can create a contrast and bring an edge to a girly look. Cacharel mixed classic florals with messy lines, Diane Von Furstenberg layered bulky color blocking stripes with stylized blue flower buttons and Antonio Marras created some edgy florals in soft colors.
Abstract motifs are also a great choice. Choose camouflage textures with an edge like the prints seen at Jean-Charles de Castelbajac or deconstructed patterns like the ones seen at Peter Pilotto or Mary Katrantzou. Geometric elements can make a statement and create an optical illusion. Use them for your benefit and work your silhouette.
The rule is to catch the sun using all your bright, neon colors in fearless prints, so go ahead and choose [end]yours.
