The French Riviera Style

This is the best time of the year to start thinking about Summer getaways. The French Riviera, Monaco, Monte Carlo and Cannes can prove to be some of the most cosmopolitan destinations, but Italy, Greece and Cyprus, bathed by the Mediterranean sea, are also some of the hottest vacation destinations.

The fashion style to follow is certainly the old time classic Riviera look that reminds us of the golden era of Grace Kelly, Audrey Hepburn, Jackie’0 and Maria Callas, whose style has been synonymous with elegance and luxury.

Accessories become extremely important, with scarves and sunglasses as the main focus. A big A-shape skirt fits well in most women and can be mixed with a tight top. If you prefer, long loose trousers with a tight top and big 1960's type sunglasses can do the trick. A nice scarf can complete the outfit, along with a beautiful handbag. If you go for the skirt, choose a smaller handbag than what you would wear with your trousers. If you don't like scarves or you find it hard to keep them in place, just tie it around the handle of your handbag.

Don't be afraid to wear stripes, which are playful and go nicely with this sophisticated look. Also remember that kaftans are a must and fit all women. If you are tall, prefer long ones, but if you are short, go for styles over the knee.

Finally, to fully experience such destinations, beachwear is of key importance. And what’s better to complete the look than a classic Chanel swimsuit? Happy Summer Holidays.
