After the International Swimming Federation's decision to ban the use of skin suits in competitions, Speedo was faced with a surplus of LZR swimsuits with no commercial value. And so was born a partnership with From Somewhere. This brand turns surplus into textile garments since 1997 and it will be responsible for the recast of the famous swimsuit, giving it a new context and use.

This first cooperation is part of a project by Speedo that aims to explore new solutions to the surplus stocks of LZR suit. More creative collaborations with other groups and institutions will be on hold. The first piece of the line "From Somewhere with Speedo" was presented during London Fashion Week and will be auctioned to support an institution. The entire collection will be unveiled in 2011.
