New York-based artist Sebastian Errazuriz
created a series of unusual shoe sculptures that reflect the nature of 12 past relationships in his life. Each shoe represents the most defining quality of each woman and is named accordingly to her most distinctive attributes.
The theme shoes are fun and quite literal; Natasha was a "Honey" and Alexandra was a "Cry Baby", while Carolina was a "Hot Bitch" and Laura was a "Heart Breaker".
As amazingly creative and entertaining as these designs are, they can also be a rather demeaning and misogynistic portrait of women, typecasting them as "saints" or "bitches". But from a different perspective, this collection can just be a quite honest visual diary, portraying how the artist intimately remembers these relations. I guess the big question is why didn't he just design a few pairs of amazing shoes?
