Every woman that becomes a bride goes back to her childhood dreams and brings all those fairytale dreams to light. That's why "princess like" dresses with voluminous skirts, balloon sleeves, glistening crystals and shiny tiaras eventually come as a first choice for such a dreamy event.
Against that excess, Carolina Herrera created a simple and fresh bridal collection for Fall 2014. Instead of dramatic volumes and gaudy decorations, the designer goes for smooth shapes and unexpected cuts. Hemlines are raised for a new approach that brings inspirations from 1950s silhouettes. Intricate beadwork, lace appliqués and delicate feathers deliver all the fantasy a wedding requires, without loosing its elegance and sophistication.
About the collection, Carolina Herrera says she "wanted to design unique options for every event surrounding a bride's wedding, from the rehearsal dinner to the reception. A bride's wedding style should be a reflection of her personality… it's the moment where she can feel her most beautiful."
