Baroque was given a new modern approach during the Chanel Couture show for Autumn/Winter 2014/15. Karl Lagerfeld paid a strong attention to detail with intricate hems and embroidery panels in exuberant egg-like ovals shapes.

His interpretation of bridal couture was also quite extravagant by picking a pregnant bride whose tail was a piece of art, all hand stitched in golden thread.

Prominent white with gold details, fiery red, cobalt blue, different shades of grey and metallic hues make a lavish collection where luxury pieces are matched with flat silk bow sandals. Only Chanel could make haute couture seem so simple.
