Founded in 1988, the Jenny Packham label revolutionized bridal wear by introducing simple and elegant lines, which remains the designer's signature until today. The brand expanded in 2008 with the creation of bridal accessories and 2 years later, with a ready-to-wear line and a lingerie collection.
Her vast clientele includes celebrities such as Catherine Zeta Jones, Kate Winslet or Dita von Teese and she is one of the favorite designers of The Duchess of Cambridge, who has been spotted several times wearing stunning Jenny Packham gowns.
Jenny Packham's genius goes beyond the runway. She designed outfits for the James Bond movies "Die Another Day" and "Casino Royale". She also collaborated with Patricia Field for "Sex and the City" series and movie, regularly dressing Kim Catrall's daring character, Samantha.
After a long career, the designer still dazzles. Her Fall/Winter 2013 ready-to-wear collection is chic and glamorous, with loads of pastel and natural colors, as well as midnight blue and red. Shapes remain long and elegant or up to the knee, with a lot of satin and embroidery details. Her Spring Summer collection for 2014 is equally flawless. Subtle color combinations, mainly between nude and peach, looks striking in materials that seem light and matte. Lines are simple with many pieces in various shades of blue.
To celebrate Jenny Packham's 25th anniversary, a bridal couture show was held at the luxurious Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park Hotel in London, last November 10. Anyone could apply to attend and meet the british designer herself. After a long career and a sumptuous celebration, more talented designs will surely come from Jenny Packham in the years ahead.
