Revealed in the beautiful Théâtre Hébertot in Paris, the presentation for the Franck Sorbier
Fall/Winter 2015/16 haute couture collection was not just a fashion show, but a whimsical theatrical performance.
The scenery was a Winter landscape of snow-covered mountains and trees from where the wonderful creations emerged. Models were replaced by graceful ballerinas, who presented gowns with luxurious corsets, feather adorned headpieces and ballet pointe shoes, while dancing to the rhythm of the hang drums and the didgeridoo.
Couture dresses in total white were made with tulle, organza, silk and lace. White face powder and red lips created a dramatic, but somewhat melancholic makeup look that completed the magic.
This ability for the theatrical is what legitimately characterizes the work of this French fashion designer, who really knows how to unite fashion with art.
