Presented during Milan Fashion Week, the Gucci Spring/Summer 2015 ready-to-wear collection was true to its heritage. Creative director Frida Giannini's inspiration came from the '70s, a decade when the brand flourished, which was a definite stepping stone for the Italian fashion house. That's probably why Gucci often returns to this decade for inspiration.

The details on the jackets, the mini dresses and the the denim compositions were quite impressive. More often seen on a Winter collection, the combinations of fur and suede in colored jackets and vests became a fun surprise. The oriental printed dresses with Mandarin collars appeared as a future forward alternative to long gowns. An atypical collection for a contemporary retro Summer.
