"Extreme heat" has been the concept described by designer Silvia Venturini for Fendi's Spring/Sumer Collection 2014 for Men. This theme kind of depicts what is happening on earth right now with Global Warming. Ironically, the runway resembled the attitude we need now, which is to work hard in this struggling world economy of ours. With the backdrop of a golden brown desert sand and the metal stilts as if we were right smack in a construction area, the feeling of this season seems to be about being a hardworking bee.
It is not about living glamorously, but living in an environment that speaks survival. The matching shirts and pants create the idea of industrial workwear and turns uniforms cool again. The concept of luxury is slowly becoming more realistic, away from a fantasy world with what High-end brands used to be known for.
