Massimiliano Giornetti, Salvatore Ferragamo's Creative Director, reinvented everything for Spring/Summer 2013. His goal was to marry classic with contemporary and he managed to do this with an equestrian twist. This season's collection is inspired by a tough, self assured woman who is cool and chic.
The main colors of the collection are white, black and sand, while accessories are mainly in gold. Trench coats, boots and huge handbags that make a statement remind us of a winter collection although the color palette doesn't. Shoes also follow the general trends, hence the return of the classic chic pointed toe and the edgy over the knee cut out boots.
Ferragamo's goal was to combine the two sides of every woman. By using a lot of suede and leather in dark colors he depicts her as strong and independent, while by using the biscuit tone lighter materials he expresses her feminine and sweet side. The balance is managed through gold accessories that bond the two together.
