Located on a rocky hill of the Greek island of Tinos, the Mirage House almost seems to be a natural element of the quiet and steep landscape. The 198 square meter house conceived by Kois Associated Architects
merges into the rock and is covered by an endless infinity pool that harmoniously connects with the seascape of the Aegean Sea.
The pool offers impressive panoramic views and a required reclusion for the subterranean house, while providing insulation and protection from solar radiation and heat transmittance.
Impressive in its size and simplicity, the Mirage house visually connects with the surrounding textures and colors. Besides this perfect aesthetic balance, the structure is mostly made with local materials and construction techniques, providing a low impact on the environment.
