If you saw the movie "The Hunger Games", you probably remember the unusual looks of Effie Trinket, the character played by Elizabeth Banks. Paired with edgy color blocking pieces and statement accessories, this devious escort was also a fan of a very curious makeup element, the fantasy eyelashes.

Created by a British company called Paperself, these exquisite lashes are created using a special paper and laser cut into the most various motifs. When applied on the eyelid, the intricate elements and the delicate appearance create an impressive effect. Flowers, birds, sea shells or butterflies seem to merge with the eyelashes around the eye, framing it to perfection.

They can be worn in full to achieve a dramatic look that will turn heads as you enter a room, but you can also trim the full lash into smaller individual pieces to accessorize your eye and wear throughout the day. Definitely a breath of fresh air for those who want to jump from the traditional mascara into something very different.
