Inspired by the late fashion illustrator Antonio Lopez, the new MAC Cosmetics collection brings us a touch of opulent color and glamour to complement those next Autumn days.
Between the years 1970s and 1980s, this puerto rican artist created various illustrations for the best fashion magazines in the world, such as Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar, and collaborated with many fashion houses and creative studios. His work became a must among the fashion community until is unfortunate death in 1987. “Antonio showed this tremendous zest for living", said James Gager, creative director for MAC. "When you see the pictures and the drawings, you want to re-meet these people at a party or on the street, you want to stop them and say, ‘You look incredible!’ ”
A multicolored palette takes us into de vibrant tones of Antonio Lopez watercolor illustrations. Perfect to create stylish, transgressive looks with a retro feel, this limited edition features a make-up bag, a mirror, a tote bag and compacts that include lip, eye and face palettes. The collection will be available from September 2013, so get ready to take a dip into the colored world of Antonio Lopez.
