When you see the images of Jaroslav Wieczorkiewicz, you might think he's an amazing CGI artist with great 3D modeling skills. Well, that's where you are wrong. Jaroslav creates his splash dresses with real milk and every single shot requires a huge amount of work.
Why milk? Jaroslav Wieczorkiewicz says it has a different consistency and the splashes look very organic when he uses cold milk.
He throws the liquid himself from several angles to obtain a diverse range of splashes over the different parts of the body, so models have to keep still and hold the pose as long as they can. The images are captured with an extremely short exposure time and then assembled in post-production to create the final piece.
Although Jaroslav shoots up to 1000 pictures per dress, one picture is built from approximately 200 pictures. The layering process is very important and everything has to fit naturally over the base shot to obtain the perfect composition.
