Photographer Seb Janiak
creates extraordinary images of floral compositions made with insect wings for his project, Mimesis. To do that, Janiak searches for unique specimens in antique shops. He then photographs the insects and digitally reassembles its wings to design these remarkable flowers.
The photographic pieces are a play on the mimicry behaviour some species develop towards the environment in order to deceive the eye. In these images the organisms assume that same visual delusion to create a new shape, a new structure.
