When you first see these images, you probably think someone just bought a goldfish or a turtle, but the truth is none of these animals are real, nor have they ever been real. They are the result of a lot of talent and patience by artist Keng Lye.

This Singapore based artisan creates stunning micro water landscapes by filling different containers with several layers of cold resin that he carefully hand-paints, one by one, to create an impressive sense of depth. The result is so realistic, it almost seems these animals are alive.
